Her brothers disappeared in the 80s during the civil war. The paternal grandmother had entrusted them to a nun that ensured their safety and education. When the father went to find them, he was not allowed to see the children. Through Probusqueda they found the brothers in Italy. They’d been adopted by seperate families. The brother remembered being in El Salvador during an earthquake. As the younger sister, she noticed this void in her family.
